The rules are simple: Need a friend? Sit on the bench. Someone bothering you? Sit on the bench. See someone sitting there? Go ask them to play, and be a friend!
Learn more about the Buddy Bench from Girl Scouts Troop 4030 at OLBSCA. The girls’ project is a wonderful example of the caring, compassion, and respect we always strive to have for members of our community and school.
A hard working group of sixth grade students from Mrs. Papadimas and Ms. Isaacson’s class were the winners of the St. Luke’s Annual Math Invitational. Congratulations to Charles Long, Marisa Sanseli, Megan Chelius, and Audra Jacino on their wonderful accomplishment. Thank you to Ms. Isaacson for all the hard work and review in math class.
The first grade students were recently given an opportunity to learn all about fire safety. They learned about smoke detectors and their importance, as well as what to do in case of a fire emergency. The fire fighters taught them all the dos and don’t in case of a fire and the students now have a safety lesson, in case they shall ever need to be prepared.
